Pros: Two optical inputs, beautiful clear crisp sound, under 200$.
Cons: A powered subwoofer is necessary.Menu is kinda hard for people who dont like menus.
The Bottom Line:
I would get this machine. Its a good price. Not bad looking.Sounds great. With the money you save on it buy a powered subwoofer, and you'll never hear anything better
I got this reciever for myself for christmas.I love it.
It has lots of good hookups. They added one more optical audio input for a total of 2.You can run all of your video thru this under 200 dollar machine.Very Very well worth the money. The setup menu is hard to get used to.But not too hard to get used to.The downfall to that side is that you almost have to learn how to use it to get the best out of this reciever. The sound is crisp and clear, but thats all.THERE IS NO BASS.Adding a subwoofer is an absolute have to if you want good sound. If you do add a good sub.It will sound so good you'll be disappointed in movie theatre soundsystems. That's no exatteration.Optical wires for dvd players and if possible, satellite or cable boxes are also pretty important.Mine is platnium but i wanted black.I hear that it is an option. Its a great buy.DOLBY DIGITAL is all automatic.Once the menu is set your way,you never have to touch it again.I like the remote, but theres no real sequence to the buttons so you almost have to look at it when doing anything else besides the volume.I'm very impressed with it,but it was such a good price,I hope it lasts a long time.
