3YK meets the '50's in this hep-cat racer. Groovy, daddy-o! In the far future as Boss Game Studios sees it, jaded technophiles blend turbocharged racing with the coolest auto styles from the Age of Elvis. The result: some of the most reckless roddin' fun to hit the N64 in many a moon. Given the oodles of racers on our favorite platform, those are high words of praise indeed. Visually, SR64 (formerly Stunt Racer 3000) is an ambitious blend of '50s car kitsch (jumbo grilles, wood paneling) with futuristic roller-coaster action on 12 cleverly designed tracks. The game looks great, especially in the letterboxed high-res mode (you'll need an Expansion Pak). Undergirding the warp-speed hijinks is a rock-solid game engine based in World Driver: Championship, Boss Game's 1999 critical success. Minimize

It says "2000" on the box but it feels alot like "1997"

Pros: The box makes the game look "2000"

Cons: The game itself feels like 1997...

I asked myself, "how did this game make it into the industry?" Rally Challenge 2000 was somewhat anticipated by me back in January (when it was supposed to come out), but when I rented it(and thank god I did) and played this travesty, I realized and asked myself what happened to N64? So many better rally games out there like Top Gear Rally (1997), and a three years later game can't even surpass it visually or playability.

I found that RC2000 is filled with dated graphics (looking like GT64 back in 1998), poor playability, and just plain out garbage. Amazingly the frame-rates are not too shabby, but the announcer and music is so terrible. Imagineer, responsible for publishing every travestile game on the market (usually in Japan) including MRC, GT64, and many more.

As Gamepro magazine says "Steer clear of this clunker...) I agree with them, recommending a rental only (Some people may accept this game, I can't say "don't even look at this game") because I'm only warning my fellow gamers not to shell out $40 for this trash without renting first.
