Pros: Price, long memos, Palm-like looking, memory (8MB).
Cons: Sync problems, sickly on screen image data.
The Bottom Line:
Buy one, but looking for deals.
For about 7 years i own a calculator-like organizer and i love it... but i take so many notes-memos and that type of organizers have limits.
Looking around on Amazon i find this model. So, i try to search more info and reviews about it. Some of that reviews talking about his features and others about lacks specially in sync to the PC and the only one PIM software support (Outlook).
In the sync side i don't care, because i have a Mac and this item don't sync to Mac, and after 7 years without sync... why i need it now ???
So i bought a refurnished model on eBay, because i don't was sure about it... but $15.00 with S&H was a good deal.
Well, when the item arrive i try some of his features softwares, like LONG MEMOS (yessss, yesssss), schedule, phone numbers, anniversary and so on. I love it SO MUCH.
Anyway i try to install the software that come in the CD and the USB cable with it, using the office Windows XP, because a feature that i read in the internet was about an Spanish-English translator. When i read it i love it, but like i read before trying to sync this model with the PC was a REAL PROBLEM, so i forget it for now.
I'm using this item for a couple of weeks and this are all the problems that i get:
- Don't sync with Mac and in the PC side, trying to sync is a lack.
- The backlight and the data on screen are very sickly.
- If you're writing something (a new phone contact for example) and try use the backlight but get a low battery message, that what you write don't stored (I HATE THAT).
Over all i recommend it. Try looking around eBay for a cheap item, because new one are about $60.00. At that level of price, better a Palm Zire ($99.00).
