Not sure why they call this a "sewing" machine

Pros: has good intentions.
Cons: lives up to none of them.
Sew, it does not! It is "cute" however.
The real problem with this machine is that it doesn't sew. It sticks and jams and even when it does run smoothly, the thread doesn't catch and lock- just needle holes in my nice fabric. I am an experienced seamstress with regular machines, but thought I could take this with me to use on holiday traveling and leave it behind as a gift after I finished a few promised hems and projects for friends and family. I understood that this was a basic machine with only a straight stitch function and no advanced features, but I thought it would at least sew. The instructions are not well written, riddled with typographical errors, and the diagrams only make things worse. I tried everything on the troubleshooting page of the manual too! I threw mine in the trash after about an hour of trying. Save your money for a real machine if you are wanting to learn to sew, I recommend an affordable Kenmore 12 stitch for beginners. For traveling seamstresses, I recommend a needle and thread over this machine.
