Hello again,

I have had this radar detector for at least a month now. I bought it not so much for the radar detecting as the other features it has. Let's face it, radar detectors are usually too late to warn you of being "clocked". While this detector works like a charm, most of the times it has gone off with a very strong signal "being clocked" I have already seen the police, sheriff, highway patrol, or whoever. So knowing this, I wasn't expecting a detector which would eliminate any and all possibility of ever again getting a speeding ticket.

However, this detector has it all!!!

NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) - this detector has different modes where you can either put it on standby, which will give you weather alerts which pertain to your area and the rest of the time be quiet .. or have the weather on constantly which can get annoying unless you really like listening to the weather (it does not have much voice fluctuation though so expect somewhat monitone speech).

Real Voice - this feature will allow you to listen to the warning and alerts instead of hearing a beep and then having to look to see why it is going off.

Text Display - the detector also allows you to read the alert or message which is displayed on the screen ... it is easy to read and has over 60 messages pertaining to the various alerts and messages.

All Band (tm) Protection - another great feature of the detector is its' ability to detect any and all radar and laser systems including Safety systems.

You can personalize the detector and delete the detection of certain radar bands ... X band, K band, KA band, and laser

It provides 360 degree protection with a sensor on the top of the detector pointing to the rear of the vehicle. This will alert you in case a radar gun shoots from behind.

VG-2 - this will alert you to a VG-2 police scanner ... basically VG-2 is searching for radar detectors in the area but when it picks it up, the detectors will automatically turn off or somehow mask it's detecting and then every 10 or 15 seconds go out and check to see if the scanner is still there.

Vehicle Battery Saver - for those of us who forget to shut things off all the time, we need a little help remembering ... this detector will shut off by itself instead of draining your battery before turning off.

The detector is a greyish color and is probably close to 4 or 4.5" square ... it comes with a manual and also mounting hardware in the box/package.

The retail on this detector is (I believe) somewhere around $150 or more. However, if you are looking to get one ... I would strongly suggest going to eBay and waiting for it to show up on there. I picked mine up on eBay and only paid roughly $36 plus shipping. They go anywhere from $30-$60 typically on eBay.

I am pleased with it although sometimes it seems more like a toy than a tool. Well, thanks for reading and happy hunting.
