Charcoal rocks! So does this grill!

Pros: great taste, convenient controls
Cons: small cooking area, no adjustment on grill height
The Bottom Line:
great grill, "the Cadillac of grills" according to the salesman and he was right. Sort of a hybrid between gas and plain charcoal.
After many years of using a gas grill I got fed up with the lack of taste and last spring got this Weber grill. Now my grilled food has taste! The propane ignition system works really well and it actually is more economical than using starter fluid. I am only on my second propane tank and we trust crossed the one year anniversary.
On the positive side, the grill is convenient to use, easy to start, easy to clean and does a great job in grilling just about anything. Airflow is very good with this grill but you do have to remember to open the bottom and top vents for full air flow. On the negative side, the grill is rather small and all the cooking is done on only one surface. Also, there is no adjustment on how high above the charcoal you are cooking.
If you want to cook with indirect heat, you will arrange the food around the outside of the grill surface (charcoal in center), but you can move the charcoal bins around to better distribute the heat for direct heat cooking.
I recommend you use Cowboy brand charcoal. it tastes great, but costs a little more. It does cook down faster so you need to be ready to cook sooner than the briquet's.
