Juicing is a healthful way to eat fruits and veggies, and the Waring Juice Extractor takes juicing to the next level. A high-speed 400-watt motor makes the extraction process efficient, and makers of carrot juice will especially appreciate the brushed stainless-steel housing--the extractor wont turn orange with age.\nEveryone whos ever owned a juicer knows that cleanup is the biggest downfall of home juicing. With the Waring, that wont be an issue--the compact strainer, pulp collector, lid, and juice collector are all dishwasher-safe, and the stainless-steel body wipes clean with a sponge. The extractors die-cast base stays steady on the countertop, and its cushioned feet will minimize vibration, protecting the countertop from scratches. Minimize

Best priced juicer for 1 or 2 persons, quick 'n easy.

Author's Rating: Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: The perfect size for 1 or 2 persons. Quick and easy to use.

Cons: Very large carrots need to be cut in half. Most fit fine.

The Bottom Line:
A great juicer for 1 or 2 persons at a reasonable price. Just juice what you want when you want it. Quick and easy to use and clean.

For only $50 bucks at Sam's Club, how can you go wrong? Sure there is a bit of noise, but it is not like you are going to use it for more than a few minutes at a time. You will want to drink the juice right after you make it, so for 1 or 2 people juicing carrots, it makes just the right amount before you have to clean it out, and by that time you have the amount of juice that you want anyway. I would not plan on storing any of the juice, as it turns brown and you won't want to drink it anyway. Just make it fresh. It is quick and easy.

The Waring Health Juicer juices carrots in split seconds. It is real easy to assemble and take apart, just twist one inch to the left and the whole thing lifts off for cleaning. You don't need any sort of key to take the blade/strainer portion off. The only time I had any dripping below the hopper was when I let the pulp hopper get too full. I had so much juice that I tried to save it, and it turned brown by the next day. You can tell by the sound of the motor that it is getting too full, and you will likely have plenty of juice for one or two persons before that happens anyway.

One drawback is that very large carrots will not fit into the opening without first cutting the wide end of large carrots in half. However, the opening is large enough for most carrots in whole. The strainer is the only thing that takes any time at all to clean, but I suspect that all juicers are that way. I use a small soft bristle brush (a toothbrush would work well) and brush it under running water. It is not a big deal. I also noticed that the finish seems to be wearing off where the stainless steel collection cup sits, but is only cosmetic.

I thought about getting one of those expensive twin gear machines because the juice is supposed to last longer when stored. After trying this juicer, I realize that I would rather juice fresh when I want it and I would not be storing juice anyway. Also, I wanted a machine that would not take more than 10 minutes of my time to juice and clean up. This one does the job.
