Dont buy it unless you want to spend half your day cleaning it.

I purchased this waffle maker yesterday.  I was excited to find a taditional waffle maker (as opposed to Belgian) and thought it must be good, after all it was $115!  Tried it this morning.  First try, using the recipe the booklet provided, I poured the recommended 2 cups of batter.  Batter POURED out the sides of the machine.  After the green light came on, indicating the waffles were done, I opened the machine.  The waffle split in half and baked to top & bottom.  After the one hour clean-up.  I tried again.  This time I used just over a cup of batter.  This time I was able to pry the waffle off the grill without splitting it in half, but the batter now poured over the front this time...all over control knob.   Third try, I put in about 1 cup of batter.  The batter didnt even make 6 complete waffles, but still went out front and back (even when I made sure there was an inch of room on all sides).  There are open crevices everywhere which I had to clean with a toothpick.  Its going back to the store asap.  I can't beleive this is such a piece of junk for so much money!  I took forever to clean.  It is the worst appliance I have ever bought.
