A few years back, the nostalgic old Volkswagen Beetle Hatchback was released once again in an updated, contemporary format that stayed true to the original design and personality that won the hearts of so many the first time around. Todays New Beetle still sports the rounded bug shape and quirky delights like a flower vase inside the cabin, yet it remains a versatile and user-friendly vehicle. Minimize

Pros: power, style, color.(snap orange!!)FUN to drive and you look sooooooo good in it!

Cons: ok don't take this car antiquing, not if you want to bring anything home.

The Bottom Line:
If you want a car that will get you there with power and style to spare for relatively short money...take a look at the New Beetle Turbos.

I just bought a 2002 Snap Orange NEW BEETLE GLS turbo with the color concept interior. Thats what really got my attention, that orange stitching and the orange seat inserts!! Orange is my first color memory ( my mom leaning over me in my basinette wearing an orange house dress ) so this car was destined to be in my driveway, but seriously, I wanted a fun car and I found it. It turns heads, is fun to drive, and has a curiously convertible like feel with the moonroof open..must be because that windshield is delightfully so far forward. In fact, it's amazing how much room the front passenger and driver have, it's a like a vista looking over that massive dashboard. This car is much bigger FEELING inside than a PT Cruiser or anything in its class. again I say that for the FRONT seat people, back seater's will have to be Munchkins.....but more on that in a bit.
I test drove everything from a Jag X type ( too "old" for me) to a Mercedes C-230 Kompressor coupe ( Looks like a fancy Gremlin ) and the Beetle was the best value, had the most features and was the most fun for the money. Leather, heated seats, and the Monsoon c-d system is a KICK! Gawd..I LOVE THIS CAR!
ok ok...
The car has power, looks and guts, if NOT much room to carry you stuff around... BUT

I got two suit cases , my gym backpack and my 3 cats ( in their carriers ) to fit inside the back with seat folded down, so thats not too bad. Just leave your golf clubs at home!

Thanks for reading! you really should take a look at the New Beetle, there's nothing like it on the road.
