Since everything in this business seems to be about the biggest, smallest, quickest, slowest, it’s no wonder Viewsonic has now announced the “world’s fastest monitor.” If anyone cares, the new 19-inch, 2ms VX922 LCD monitor has a native resolution of 1280x1024, contrast ratio of 650:1 and brightness of 270 nits. Of course, only China will get the fastest monitor in the east, so don’t hold your breath.

Perfect for gaming

Pros: Speed, accuracy and overall design.
Cons: Base could be designed slightly better.
I've had this monitor for nearly a year now. Out of all the available 2ms monitors at the time, the VX922 was the only reasonable choice for gaming. It's rarely tuned off. I game for at least 3 hours a day. I've never suffered from any form of smearing, ghosting or other problems inherent with LCD monitors in any of the games I regularly play (CoD2, CoD4, Guild Wars, BF2142).
The only problem I ever had with it was a row of stuck pixels six months into its initial use. This lasted for about two days and eventually corrected itself just before I was to make contact with ViewSonic for an RMA. Six months later and I've not had a reoccurrence *fingers crossed*.
Although it is slightly higher in price, at the time, the VX922 was comparatively priced. I would definitely buy another one given the performance ratings of other monitors, such as Acer and Samsung.
