Why doesn't anyone like this game???

Pros: 4 player compatibility, bigger maps, smooth, realistic physics, weapons, improved speed
Cons: Special Ups happen on accident!
I bought Twisted Metal 3 considering the fact that I loved Twisted Metal 2 but - as most reviews continue here it would be "Twisted Metal 3 is a let down.." but for me.. NO WAY. I like this game. Why? Here we go...
PROS
* Smooth.. Compared to Twisted Metal 2, this game is smooth. After playing this and trying Twisted Metal 2 - It was so choppy it made me sick.
* Cars are much more detailed. In Twisted Metal 2 they were like big blocks.
* Speed - Overall this game is a LOT faster than 2 ; 4 player is a blast! One of the few games for the PSX that even allow 4 player split screen..
* Weapons - I did like the mortar a lot. Still has all the old favorites.
* Replay - Wasn't really increadibly "hard" but neither was TM2. I loved the maps a LOT more. They were quite a bit larger - The London map was gigantic. The fact that they allow 4 player blows away TM2(if you play 4 player ever..)
CONS
* Some people say that the special things happen a lot on accident which is true. You'll find yourself jumping quite a bit when you don't mean to BUT this is no reason to utterly hate the game.
* Some people tend to hate the physics.. I myself welcomed the more smooth/realistic physics.
OVERALL : I don't know. It seems like most the people who hate this game were big fans of Twisted Metal 2 but I was a big fan of that and I still liked this game.. I don't know who would like it quite frankely. It's sortof a "rent it and find out" type game. But - you'll like it a LOT more with multiple people in 4 player deathmatch.
