The 2003 Toyota Sequoia is part of the one-two punch in the full-size SUV segment for Toyota. Coupled with the Land Cruiser, the Sequoia is designed with luxury in mind for adventurous families who want sedan capability but need a large truck to carry them and the gear around. The eight-passenger Sequoia, offering more interior room and more rear cargo capacity than either the Chevrolet Tahoe or the Ford Expedition, is one of the largest SUVs on the market. Changes for 2003 include a newly available factory-installed DVD rear seat entertainment system, the ideal accessory for traveling families. A high-resolution overhead screen flips down from the headliner and plays from a DVD player in the centre console. Rear seat audio, a feature also available as a separate option, enables the rear passengers to watch without disturbing those up front.

Owner Review 2003 Sequoia
| Author's Rating: |
|
Pros: Comfort and Gas Mileage given the size.
Cons: Rear view slightly limited. Need one 12v outlet ON with key off for the cooler.
Bottom Line:
Drive one after checking on the Tahoe or GMC's. Look at Toyota reliability and resale value.

"She's a squirrel-squashin', deer-smackin' drivin' machine."
| Author's Rating: |
|
Pros: Space, Towing Capacity, Style
Cons: Bland Interior, Gas Mileage, Price, Unknown Reliability
Bottom Line:
Unlike many foreign SUVs, the American-built Sequoia does not offer much of a change from the many boxy, over-weight blue collar mobiles that come flooding from Detroit.

This is not a soccer mom car.
| Author's Rating: |
|
Pros: Good crash-worthy vehicle, remarkable traction, great gas mileage for its size. ULEV is nice.
Cons: Appears to have been built by Chrysler. Must be purchased from a Toyota Dealer.
Bottom Line:
If you but it and have problems, Toyota has demonstrated they have no problem telling customers to shove off if Toyota doesn't want to cover problems with the car.
