The Sequoia is introduced as a new full-size sport utility model and is a new addition to the existing Toyota SUV line-up. Based on the Tundra, the Sequoia is equipped with the same i-Force V-8 engine that powers the Land Cruiser and Tundra. Trim lines are designated as SR5 and Limited models, both available in 2WD and 4WD. Unique standard features include Vehicle Skid Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TRAC). VSC is a system designed to help maintain cornering stability in situations where the vehicle is about to lose traction and skid sideways. TRAC is a traction control system that operates in both 2WD and 4WD. Other standard features include Automatic Climate Control, 3-in-1 cassette and CD stereo, and an automatic transmission.

2001 TOYOTA SEQUOIA

The Bottom Line:
If you can afford it, stop looking, you won't be sorry.
I purchased this vehicle in Feb 01. Yes I paid alot of money for this vehicle, but you are buying a TOYOTA. Historically, Toyota's are pricy in any model. Remember the old adage, "You get what you pay for". I love my Sequoia. It handles better than any of the other SUV's I test drove. I bought the "Limited". It has everything one could dream of. I can listen to my music and my daughter can hook up her personal CD player into the rear power source and listen to hers. It is luxurious, stylish and smooth. One can not expect the MPG of a Corolla when the engine size and weight of the vehicle is that of a SUV. I paid cash for my baby, who now goes by the name "BT" (Big Toyota). I expect many years of pleasure from my BT. If you can't afford to ride with the BIG DOGS, buy a Ford Explorer!
