The 2001 Toyota MR2 Spyder convertible is a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive vehicle that features Variable-Valve-Timing (VVT-I) technology on its standard five-speed manual transmission. Standard equipment includes power windows and locks, air conditioning and anti-lock brakes. Safety features include dual airbags with a passenger side cut-off switch and daytime running lights (DRL). The sound system features a Deluxe 3-in-1 AM/FM cassette/CD with four speakers. The MR2 interior features drilled aluminum sport pedals, and a leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. The folding cloth convertible top includes a glass rear window with an electric defroster. Options include floor mats, wheel locks, carbon fiber trim and a front-end mask.
