Unreliable poor quality unit

Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Unreliable, unable to play most DVD's
I had this player only a few months when it began to reject new DVD's indicating a disk error. Gradually, it began to do this with DVD's it had already played. When I tried these same DVD's on other players, they played without difficulty. The player has also begun to freeze during those DVD's it actually deigns to play or to display periodic skips. The documentation provided with the unit provides no clues to what the problem is and customer support offers no assistance. I think this is the bottom of the line for Toshiba and apparently there is little attention paid to quality or reliability. It is true that it is cheap but it is not worth the price.
