Pros: quality & quantity of features for the price, compact size, long battery life, reliable, etc!
Cons: not a single complaint about this product after using it for nearly two years!
The Bottom Line:
Great for beginners or experts- it has big value and style as well as a huge range of features.
I bought this product approximately 1 1/2 year ago for about $300 with a $50 rebate afterwards. I was reluctant to give up my antiquated paper planners and I used both for about 2 weeks before I realized that this purchase was one of the most efficient changes I could make. I'll never have a paper address book or planner again. With those features (contacts, calendar) plus voice recorder, beautiful color, mp3 player, handwriting transcription that actually works, internet pages available offline and updated every time you sync with your computer... I have my local movie theater schedule and the weather forecast up to date and in my pocket at all times. Word, Excel, alarm clock, and so many other features. I am a nurse and I bought a Nursing Drug Guide and it is right here in my PDA also- no need to carry a bulky book!
I charge this item every few days and it synchronizes with my computer at home- no worry of losing my whole life's info if something happens to my PDA. And the charge lasts many days if you don't use it often. If you use it a great deal, playing games and turning it on and off all the time, it will still last the entire day. Another reviewer complained about lack of memory but it hasn't been a problem for me, even with my nursing drug book on it. And it does have a slot for additional memory if one chooses to use it. It has frozen a couple times and I called their help line- they told me to push this little button on the back of the product which reboots it-- fixed it immediately, no problems- just a simple reboot once in a great while.
I couldn't be happier with this purchase!! I'll be sure to buy another Toshiba when it is time to update my PDA-- this item has FAR MORE bang for the buck than other brands, and costs FAR LESS than comparable palm systems.
