“I grow up a dreamin’ of being a cowboy”, the famous words of Waylon Jenings and Willie Nelson was my theme song of my childhood days. My heroes really were cowboys, and they still kind of are. Now everyone knows that a real cowboy has a pair of boots. My dad, a cowboy, has always had a pair of Tony Lama boots in his closet as long as I can remember. So when I became of age to buy me a real pair of boots that I would not grow out of in six months to a year, I found myself looking at the Tony Lama boots. I settled on a Tony Lama Renegade Leather Buckaroo Cowboy Boots and have not regretted it.

COMFORT
Some may say, “How could you ever find a pair of cowboy boots to be comfortable?” Well cowboy boots are not meant to wear to the gym. They are meant to fit in a stirrup. The Tony Lama Renegade Leather Buckaroo Cowboy Boots have a metal shank and 2 3/8” heel that allows you to spend hours comfortably in the saddle. My Tony Lama Renegade Le ather Buckaroo Cowboy Boots are quite comfortable once they are properly broken in. If you rub a little boot ointment on them are wear them on a good hot day. I split the break in period over several weeks to ensure not to get sore feet. This may sound like a lot of work, but the outcome is a pair of boots that are perfectly fit to be one with your foot.

STYLE
The Tony Lama Renegade Leather Buckaroo Cowboy Boots come in a variety of color combinations to fit what ever your personal preference is. My boots are chocolate brown with orange-yellow uppers. The art on the boots are truly amazing. The stitching on the uppers exhibits a beautiful art display and the toe bug adds class and elegance.

PROTECTION
Despite what some may say about the length of the uppers on the boots, they do have a purpose other than style. The 15 inch of double layered leather comes in very handy when one is chasing cattle through the thick brush on a horse. The double thick leather protects your shins against branches banging into them and the pernicious strike of a rattle snake.  
 
COST
The Tony Lama Renegade Leather Buckaroo Cowboy Boots are not cheapest foot wear. They range from $190-210; however, they are worth every penny of it. The only money that I have had to put into them is the resole job about every three years. To have these boots resoled cost about $15. Then you pretty much have a new pair of boots again.

DURABLE
The Tony Lama Renegade Leather Buckaroo Cowboy Boots cost a little much however, as long as they last, they don’t actually being that much. I have had my boots for over eight years, and the still look like they are brand new. If someone will take the time to oil the boots up good a couple times a year, they will last a very long time. The extra patch of leather around the front of the ankle adds greater strength to the boot.

Overall I enjoy the Tony Lama Renegade Leather Buckaroo Cowboy Boots. They are long lasting and classy looking. Your peers will definitely give you a complement you the next time they see you wearing them
