Fantasy so powerful it makes me feel homesick!

Author's Rating: Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: Delicious turns of phrases, great characters, strong plot, deep emotion

Cons: Complex language might turn passive readers off, but is this necessarily a bad thing?

Bottom Line:
Of Robin McKinley's strong ouvre of fantasy novels, this is one of the most flawless, plus a personal favorite of mine. Read More at Epinions.com

I Love This Book

Author's Rating: Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: Stirring, emotional, everyone can relate. Strong action, great in-between. Eloquent use of description.

Cons: Some readers may be turned off by higher level, but easy if read slowly

Bottom Line:
I like the Blue Sword because of the (easy-to-understand) level of higher writing, and how many different types of stories it is. Read More at Epinions.com
