The Verve employs a new circular lens barrier that tucks away inside the camera body with a satisfying snap when the power is turned on, and protects it by creating a durable, impermeable seal from the elements when closed. The camera comes to life with a start-up sound of either a sports car engine, a pleasing chime or a lively electronic "Whew!" as well as a customizable start-up image on the LCD. The Verve also has three different catchy shutter sounds to choose from. Atop the camera's body is a unique rotating mode dial that spins to set the camera to take pictures, record movies or review images taken.

Pros: Cute, Can take Movies as well as Pictures
Cons: Zoom won't go in far
The Bottom Line:
If you aren't a professional photographer and just want something to take your vacation and auction pictures, this is great.
I received this camera as a birthday present. It came in my favorite color (turquoise) and I loved the look of it. I still adore the way it looks, especially with the giant LCD screen.
Its about the same size as my cell phone, so it's pretty small but not so small it will get lost in your pocket/purse/bag. It has an awesome "quick" view button that is extremely helpful when taking multiple pictures. It's easy to delete one or all of the pictures.
I love the self timer feature which is super simple to use. All you do is press the center button, go to the different modes, and press the down arrow until you get to the self timer. Once you've selected the self timer, press the button for taking a photo and walk to where you want for the picture. It will give you three warning beeps before taking the picture. With the LCD screen, you can easily aim the camera.
The one thing I don't like about the camera is the zoom. It's okay, but it won't go in very far and is mostly useless in crowd situations (aka concerts, plays, ect).
However, I do love the movie feature. With my current card, I can take up to 11 minutes of movies. It was great when I went to a parade this summer and took both movies and pictures at the parade. It's simple to switch between the two and the lcd screen will tell you how many more minutes or photos you have left on the card.
I bought a larger card because the 16mb just is too small for much of anything. I think mine is 128 but I'm not exactly sure on that. The 16 only held 32 pictures while the new one I have can hold up to 500 on the lowest settings.
The battery does tend to run out fairly quickly but it isn't too terribly bad. It recharges very quickly so I don't really worry about it.
