Stay away from this camera, it has quality problems.

Pros: The camera does everything great, except download via the firewire and USB ports.
Cons: The download ports break for now reason, and it takes too long to get fixed.
April 2004 we bought a new Sony at Best Buy. It did everything we asked it to. Great video, easy to download, easy to use. Then, in September, the camera stopped connecting to the PC via the firewire. We tried the USB, nothing. We returned it to Best Buy, who returned it to Sony. It took so long to return to us, we got Best Buy to give us a new camera, same make and model, in October 2004. Service confirmed that the camera was broken and no download would work. The ports on the back of the camera were broken. Now February 2005, the new camera has just broken and will not download. Same exact problem. No abuse, no signs of abuse. I'm disgusted with the camera, which is a shame, because I've always liked Sony.
