Combining network functionality with Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) capability, the SNC-RZ30N camera takes remote monitoring and general IT applications to the next step by offering the flexibility to see almost anything within the cameras range and field-of-view over an ordinary TCP/IP network. By simply using a popular web browser like Microsoft Internet Explorer, images and the PTZ movement of the SNC-RZ30N camera can be controlled using a PC at any location and at any time without the need for any additional software or plug-ins. In addition, installation and operation of the SNC-RZ30N camera is easy thanks to its browser based set-up menu and user-friendly GUI (Graphic User Interface). The versatile and flexible SNC-RZ30N is packed with incredible features and comes in a sleek, compact and lightweight design that can be ceiling mounted or placed on a flat surface.

Pros: Interface features, built-in webserver, easy to program interface to utilize cameras html CGI controls.
Cons: Price of camera, price of all-weather housing.
This camera has all the interface options a person looks for in surveillance hardware. The inclusion of the laptop card slot for wireless network hardware or memory is over-the-top brilliant. It's just unfortunate that the camera is not yet available under $1,000.
I believe that if this camera included 4 megapixel hardware that with that it's price-point should be roughly $900. However, it's the only camera in its class with all the options it has so for die-hard surveillance there is truly no other option currently and businesses that need this technology will be stuck paying for it. Though the still pictures may not be 4 megapixels yet, they are still of excellent quality and my company is storing their images in a SQL Server 2000 database.
