Sony introduced the Playstation 23 bit back around 1995 or so. Your sony playstation comes with 1 dual shock analog controller. It has 2 analog control knobs,your standard Dpad, four left and right shoulder buttons, 4 face buttons, and a select and start button. The special controller allows you to feel a vibration well playing certain games.
You have a memory card feature above the area which you plug your controller into. This memory card feature allows you to buy the cards and stick in the slot and save the place where you last left off at. This is a nice feature, so if you have to stop your game, you can pick up where you left off at.
There are lots of games to chose from to play in this. There are younger people games, teen games, and adult games. The games all come with a rating on them, so you know who they are apporiate for in your family. The games cost around 40-50 dollars. I have found some good ones at yardsales, and ebay for around 20. So check around before you buy a new one.
One neat feature about this too, it's a cd player also. You can play your cd's in this and chose graphics to be on your tv while playing your music.
The only thing that I did not like about my Sony Playstation is that it only comes with one controller. So you have to go out and buy the 2nd one, along with your memory cards.
