The Sony PlayStation truly shines with 3D-rendered action games, such as Tomb Raider and Spider-Man. These and other 3D-based titles place players in the middle of elaborate gaming environments that take full advantage of the system's ability to render up to 360,000 polygons per second. The PlayStation also has the capability to display 16.8 million colours simultaneously and can support full-frame video playback at 30 frames per second. In addition to impressive graphics, the PlayStation also offers CD-quality sound. Each PlayStation disc has the capacity to store up to 650 MB of data--significantly more information than can be stored on cartridge-based games. As an added bonus, the PlayStation will even play your favourite music CDs (accompanied by a selection of cool graphics).

Pros: hours of fun for everyone
Cons: none
The Bottom Line:
My son loves it, and so does the big kid, my husband! It is fun for both of them! You can get games for everyone!
My son got a Playstation One for Christmas this year. He is 6 now, so he isn't into the newest systems. He is happy with any of them. His grandparents bought the PS for him. It was about $100 at Wal-Mart. They had to buy an extra controller for it. I think the controller was $20. It only came with one in the box.
When we got it home and hooked it up, we had to go to Wal-Mart and buy a converter to hook it up. That costed $9.96. We also bought the PS memory card. This will save your games, where you left off, in case you want to quit and play another day.
He and my husband get down in the floor in front of the television and play, play, play. This is all they want to do. You can get games for everyone. They are rated from EC-early childhood, E-everyone, T-teen, M-mature. We have some of all of them. My husband likes the fighting games. Dylan likes the kids game.
We have a N64, but this is the newest game system that we have. We have about 9 games for the PS already. My son likes the game called "Rayman", "Need for Speed", and "WWF Attitude". My husband is hooked on "Tekken 3". He has already played a game called "Syphon Filter 2" and beat it. He has been staying up half of the night playing these games. Of course this gives me time to come and read and write reviews!!
The Playstation is now smaller in size since it first came out. The box is flat, and the top opens up to put your game in. Then you push the power button and wait for it to load. It also came with a demo game in the box. The games are reasonably priced for the PS One. They are pretty cheap now, because this is an older system. You can find some games for about $10! The newer systems have the more expensive games now.
It has lots and lots of games to choose from . You can get them pretty cheap now since the PS2, Gamecube, and X-Box are out. Their games are the expensive ones now. If you have a kid or a husband who likes games, this would be perfect for them. The system costs about $100 at Wal-Mart. That is pretty cheap for a game system. It will be worth your money if you have a game nut in your house.
The WWF Attitude game was $10. It is rated T for teen. It is a wrestling game. I got Syphon Filter 2 for around $40. That game is not suited for children. It is rated M for mature. It is guns, and blood. We also have Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. It is rated M for mature. My husband hasn't played that game very much. It was about $20. Tekken 3 is rated T for teen. It is a fighting game. It was about $20.
Thank you for reading and have a good night!! Leave me comments!!
