The Sony's MVC-CD350 CD Mavica Digital Camera packs an array of impressive features and definitive control in a compact design. Its Super HAD CCD image sensor (3.2 effective MP) provides excellent image quality by allowing more light to pass to each pixel, increasing sensitivity and reducing noise. The 3.2X Smart Zoom (at VGA size) intelligently uses the full CCD to let you zoom into the portion of interest by cropping the image size thus avoiding image degradation. You can experience excellent viewing and image playback clarity with the 123K 2.5'' LCD monitor. Evaluating 3 separate focus areas of the frame, the camera's 3-Area Multi-Point AF can intelligently focus on the subject and displays the selected focus point. With Multi-Pattern Measuring, optimum exposure value can be established even in scenes where pronounced highlight and shadow are not centered in the frame. The camera also features AF Illuminator that helps establish a positive focus lock while briefly illuminating the subject in low or no lig Minimize

Author's Rating: Rating: 4/5 stars

Pros: CD writer makes storage a snap High-quality product with professional capabilities.

Cons: The competition doesn't make such a good product.

The Bottom Line:
Sony Mavica CD350 Digital Camera is rock solid with the reputation of a kick butt parent company to match.

Author's Review
Take it from me, Sony has changed the way Americans will take digital photos.

As a professional journalist, I've often been stuck with inferior products that are designed for a grandparent to take a few photos of their family to show to a few friends. Most digital cameras forget that the world isn't just a casual place. It's all about money. And Sony's Mavica CD350 Digital Camera shows us the money.

On September 11, 2001, I was in Washington, DC covering the terrorist attacks at the Pentagon. I used the Sony Mavica's earlier diskette version to capture my article in pictures. I can't think of a more historical important or journalistically significant event, so using the Mavica was a no-brainer. And as always, it did not disappoint. The upgraded version, the Sony Mavica CD350 Digital Camera is even better.

The quality, the ease of use and the price tag complement each other like no other digital product. With its print and video features, Sony's Mavica CD350 Digital Camera produces and stores high-quality pictures and video that can easily be used for a variety of professional capabilities. From print newsletters to online email newszines, this choice will not let you down.

The worst part of the Sony Mavica CD350 Digital Camera is that the competition doesn't make such a good product.
