The sleek and silvery device enables computer users to perform common CD-R/RW burning tasks, such as backing up data, recording digital images and creating original music CDs at up to 24X speed. When connected to a computer, the MPD-AP20U also operates as a DVD-ROM drive for viewing DVD movies, and as a Memory Stick media reader for viewing, saving and transferring files. Pros: Great idea to combine a walkmen and a burner into one box
Cons: The result is a total failure
Burner is not compatible with Toast, it starts burning a CDR and then stops. The software that comes with it requires all file names to be PC way (and turnes all letters to capitals) so it's incredibly annoing for a Mac user. Plus all of the (3) disks I managed to record had some errors on them.Tabletop attachment is a pretty confusing thing too: I bought the player to save room, it looked smaller comparing to average external burners, but with theattachment and all the cables it's rather takes more space. The player itself is too heavy and bulky to be used as a walkman. So, the player was supposed to have several uses, and doesn't have any. Went straight to my junk closet.
