Whether your living room is currently home to an HDTV or you're merely thinking of "someday," the DVP-NC665P/B stands ready to deliver the full potential of your DVDs through Sony's Precision Cinema Progressive de-interlacer (scanning) with 3:2 pulldown processing. Progressive scanning, referred to as 480p for the number of horizontal lines that compose the video image, creates a picture using twice the scan lines of a conventional DVD picture, giving you higher resolution and sharper images while eliminating nearly all motion artifacts.

Top Notch DVD Player

Pros: Great Quality, Very Easy to Use
Cons: For only a little bit more, you can get the dual DVD/VCR combo
The Bottom Line:
A Great Purchase
I recently started doing research into DVD players, so I could pick the perfect DVD player for my Fathers birthday. I looked at speed, durability, quality, ease of use and of course, cost. After doing diligent research online and at stores, I decided that the Sony DVP-NS725P DVD player would be the best bang for my buck. Excited with my purchase, I headed over to my Dads birthday party, and guess what, I wasnt the only person to get my Father a DVD player for his birthday. The other DVD player was a Panasonic that cost over twenty dollars more than my SONY DVD player. My Dad was overwhelmed, and promised that he would try both out and after putting them through their paces, he would keep the one that he thought worked the best. In the end, quality showed through and my father decided to keep the SONY. He ended up returning the Panasonic, and he used the refund money to purchase some new DVDs.
The only thing I wish I could have done differently, would be to buy the Sony DVD/VCR combo. If you are interested in purchasing a top notch DVD player, Id recommend going with the name you can trust. Go with the quality of Sony!
