Whether your living room is currently home to an HDTV or you're merely thinking of "someday," the DVP-NC665P/B stands ready to deliver the full potential of your DVDs through Sony's Precision Cinema Progressive de-interlacer (scanning) with 3:2 pulldown processing. Progressive scanning, referred to as 480p for the number of horizontal lines that compose the video image, creates a picture using twice the scan lines of a conventional DVD picture, giving you higher resolution and sharper images while eliminating nearly all motion artifacts.

Pros: Great outputs, dv/dav, great price, a real value for the price
Cons: No zoom. not a big deal.
The Bottom Line:
For the price you pay for this, it's an amazing deal. You'll rarely find a machine this lowpriced and this high quality.
My reviews are based on the feelings of past consumers who I have come into contact with regarding their systems. Being in the electronics industry, I am hopefully able to give you an accurate picture of the overall consumer feeling on the products I review
I believe Brevity is a virtue, so here is the grading-scale rundown on this product:
Aesthetic Appeal: (A) This is a great looking machine. It is sleek and stylish, and fits anywhere.
Price: (A+) Excellently priced, you get a great value for your buck. Compared to the rest of today's systems, it is hard to find one this cheap. And if you do find one, it usually is a disappointment regarding quality. So this is a rare thing, folks.
Setup:(A+) Incredibly easy to set up. It plugs right in. Great output/dv/dav capabilities.
Ease of Use:(A) Easy to figure out and use. Plugs and outputs / inputs are very clearly marked. No trouble with setting it up in just minutes.
Notes:The only small complaint I've heard is that it has no zoom feature. But this system will play almost anything you throw at it. It will play any disc you have. A great value for an excellent price. Fullly recommended, with no hesitation.
