Pros: it will work great provided you use it ONLY once every few months
Cons: Sony will give you a HUGE run-around when it errors on you even under warranty
I bought this recorder just over a year ago & when i did get a chance too use it,, it was great,, Now all of a sudden all i get is HDD ERROR & the thing doesn't want to do anything,, trying to contact Sony corp is like pulling teeth in a wide awake Lion,, i just get a run around & for the price of this unit,, just under 900 dollars i would say to stay FAR FAR away from the Sony HDD product,, mine sits in a cooled dust free environment & still couldn't handle a VERY VERY part time user,, just imagine what it would do for someone who may want to use it more then once a week
