I still don't like this thing

Pros: Very good quality picture on recordings.
Cons: No English manual. Extremely slow and unresponsive.
Owning an HX-710 is like having an enemy.
Previously I have had outstandning experience with Sony products.
I bought this thing several years ago and it still works. But twice I have unintentionally managed to erase everything I had recorded on the HD. And despite many hours of trying hard I was unable to recover any data at all.
I have also wasted a lot of time trying to upgrade the HD to a larger one. No can do.
I bought this machine in Sweden and it came with manuals in the four Scandinavian languages, and Portugues. But no English! I think someone over at Sony needs a lesson on the Scandianvian language skills.
The manual has some 3 pages of what you can do with the HX-710, and 7 pages of what you can not do with it. It is painfully obvious that Sony is heavily involved in the recording industry.
