The Bottom Line:
Buy it! Great pictures and easy to use. A must is a second battery the bigger the better and buy your accessories at the same time
After many weeks of research on the surprisingly number of Digital Camcorders by different manufacturers I purchased the Sony DCR-TRV27 because of mainly 3 features. They were resolution,ability to take Megapixel still images and the 3.5 LCD for recording and playback.
With the 3.5 inch LCD you can be watching your son's football game on the way home with a good crisp picture in real time and even in frame by frame.
If you buy this camcorder a must is a second battery because the 3.5 LCD drains the battery fast. Also if your thinking of buying any accessories like 2X telephoto or a wide angle lense and second battery do so at the same time time you purchase the camcorder because you get a large discount on these so called accessory kit's.
So far the only drawback has been the software that comes with camcorder is not user friendly.(at least not with WIN98Se)
