Pros: User-friendly, You can usually find it on sale at Best Buy or Target, conveniant
Cons: Price if not on sale, however it is worth it, battery life span
The Bottom Line:
This is a user-friendly and budget friendly camcorder. It also doubles as a regular camera and that is the most conveniant thing about it.
My husband and I received this camcorder as a Christmas gift when we were expecting our first child. We literally opened it christmas morning and started using it immediately. It is very user friendly. Also you can use many different brands of DVDs even though it does say to only use Sony ones, they all work and the others are less expensive. It also takes still pictures so you don't need to have your still camera with you. To use the still camera option, you just need a memory card. This camera plugs in easily to the computer for easy downloads. After recording, you can just pop in the DVD and watch it, nothing else needs to be done. It is so easy especially after being a camcorder user with the tapes. This is much easier than that. We have captured so many moments of our daughter and she is now 9 months. It is very lightweight. We also have a little bag that we keep it in and it's very easy to take around from place to place. I would recommend this to everyone, especially new parents. It is great. Ours was bought at Target and it was on sale. Usually it is on sale at Best Buy, Circuit City, and Target. So you can usually get a good deal. I have recently purchased the DVDs for this camcorder at Target and I got 5 of them for $2.53. That is quite the deal. You can find these DVDs on sale everywhere which is very conveniant as well.
