Great camera for beginning filmmakers

Pros: Easy to use.
Cons: Doesn't connect via USB to Windows 98.

Highly recommended, rather cheap, great picture quality. Hardly anything not good about it!
Being an amateur filmmaker, I wanted a cheap, durable, Digital 8 camcorder we could find at the local Wal-Mart. Well here it was! Unfortunately, I can't connect it to my computer (Windows 98) to edit my films on my new editing software. We're planning to upgrade soon, keeping my fingers crossed... Even so, this is a very good camcorder with plenty of features. Some of my favorites:
Photo Capture: You can freeze the image ad continue the audio. Creates interesting effects.
Easy In-Camera Titling: Easy-to-use titling system, can change color, size, position in frame...
In Camera Effects include Negative Art, Sepia, Black and White, Solarize, Slim, Stretch, Mosaic, and my personal favorite, Pastel, which gives everything a cartoonish kind of feel.

16:9 Anamorphic Widescreen, Looks Great!
Frame Record: An easy way to do simple animation, low frame rate, but still works well.
The DCR-TRV250 is very easy to use, and gives clear picture for vacation movies or dramatic films made in the backyard. I highly recommend it.
