Zoomin' into Digital8

Pros: nice quality, great performance
Cons: none, so far
The Bottom Line:
This is a great video camera for anyone who loves to record everything. I recommend it highly.
My family and I decided it was time to purchase a Video Camera. We had been using a Sony, we borrowed from a family member, and liked its performance even though it was an older model. We knew basically what we wanted, and so the search began.
We looked at many different models and brands, and the Sony looked the best. We chose the Sony TRV-120. It had all the features we were looking for plus more.
450x digital zoom--Zoom was of big importance. Alot of other cameras we checked out had a powerful zoom, but the clarity of the picture was very poor or distorted. The Sony had the best quality in picture.
Image Stabilizaton--This was another feature of importance to me. I am very shaky when it comes to holding a camera. This feature is awesome if you have unsteady hands. The Sony had this feature.
NightShot--A feature that I had desired. I live in Alaska where it is dark alot of the year. I was impressed with the quality of this feature. It is very clear, as long as you don't film something far away. Things up to about 10 feet away look great.
Titles--Almost every camcorder on the market has this feature. I have kids, and love to title everything. The Sony has many titles to choose from, or you can input your own. This gave the Sony a big A+ from me.
Battery Life--Something everyone needs to consider. The battery pack that comes with the camera lasts for around a hour. You can however purchase battery packs that last for up to 12 hours.
There is so many other features this camera has, that it would take all day to review them. Everything takes a little bit to figure out, but once you learn, it is awesome. I recommend anyone who loves to video tape everything to give this Sony model a try.
