Pros: Hi-res screen, bluetooth, 200mhz procesor, voice recording
Cons: Faulty Cover
The Bottom Line:
The final line is this product will help you whether you are a student or a high priced executive who needs constant reliability.
My first palm was a Palm Zire, I instantly fell in love with the palm os through it. This palm however takes handheld computing to an affordable level while giving you everything you need and more. I paid 248 dollars for it and it has been an enjoyable investment. Where ever I travel I have a High Resolution Screen to give me the information I need, or to play back beautiful mpeg movies. (Memory Stick required for mp3's, pictures, video) However with the memory stick slot memory space is endless. It is very fast using a 200mhz processor, and games and video run very smoothly. The mp3 player has the best sound I have ever heard in a portable device. With 3 bass level settings and limitless audio, even 7 buck headphones sound great with this. Also the hold feature is a nice add on where the battery life is extended to 11 hours listening to music; Around 3 1/2 hours watching movies; and about 3-11 days using basic applications. The bluetooth is a nice add on for checking email and wireless hotsyncs. (this in part is EXTREMELY difficult to use) The voice recording function works extremely better then i would have imagined. With different sensitivity levels you can record almost anything. I have read in other reviews about the placement of the record butten "accidently" being pushed and turning on the palm. It has not been accidently pushed in once it is very sturdy. Also the Sony Jog Dial allows very fast scrolling through apps. I love it. After using this Sony Clie for a month I have only one problem with it: The beautiful aluminum cover is very scratchable and bendable/dentable. So be careful with it. Otherwise everything works great. Just get the latest drivers when you get it. All in all, this is the Palm that has everything you need. And nothing you don't.
