Cons: doesn't have a feature to reduce jarring when used as a handheld
The Bottom Line:
Not fabulous, but certainly decent.
I bought this camera in October and it is a decent, well-working camcorder, but it is missing some feature which would enhance even the novices' experience. For one thing, if you're using the camcorder as a handheld, all natural little bumps and jars that come from using it without a tripod will be plainly visible (and even maximized if you are zoomed in close on something). The lcd screen is a nice feature, but it is small and hard on people who's eyesight isn't perfect (such as myself). And using it while operating the camera will run down the battery very quickly. If you are looking for an excellent camera go for one model up (the CCD-TRV68) which has a balance feature.
A good camera for the money, but nothing extraordinary by any means and if you buy one of these, invest in a tripod for it as well!
