My wife and received a Sony ccd-tr416 for Christmas from her brothers and sisters. We have wanted a video camera for long time and have been looking at them in the stores and I must say that I was not impressed with many that were in the affordable range. I can truly say that I love the Sony ccd-tr416. Although we did not buy it I have seen it in the stores and it is very affordable.
It is lightweight and easy to handle. Play back to the TV is crystal clear and I am very impressed with the new battery system. You have a wide range of battery lives that can be purchased and you always know how long until the battery is dead. Charging the battery is very fast and easy. You can charge the battery in the camera and you can get a full charge on the 2hour battery in less than an hour. The infrared night vision is great also. If you lose something in the dark you don't need a flashlight just use the night vision on the camera and you will not have any problems finding what you lost. Every feature on the camera is easy to use and more importantly easy to understand. I highly recommend this camera for anyone in the market
