Only GoVideo offers the innovative features and capabilities of a state-of-the-art DVD and VCR integrated into one easy-to-use product. Effortlessly transfer VHS tapes onto higher-quality, easier-to-store DVDs. It's time to get rid of your old VHS movies for good! Whether you want to record, play, or listen, the VR4940 does it all. GoVideo's new VR4940 model, available in a sleek black-colored design, represents the company's first Dual-Deck line combining a DVD recorder and hi-fi VCR all in one, with GoVideo's new EZ Play and MyDVD features. GoVideo's EZ Play feature automatically skips ads, trailers and menus, jumping right to the start of the movie. Simply place the disc in the tray, press the play key, and the movie starts without interruption. GoVideo's MyDVD feature also makes using this DVD player easier than any other both for adults and children. It permanently stores the set-up preferences that on most other DVD players need to be checked or unchecked every time you load a new DVD.

Pros: Customers are Lucky its not sold anymore
Cons: Not durable, not well made, too expensive and Will not last
The Bottom Line:
If you see one of these for sale, be happy you don't already own it.
I bought my go video VR4940, DVD/VCR Recorder for about $300 which was $300 too much, The salesman told me that it was a great unit and that it sold for 0ver $400 when it was a new item, I got this one on a close out price and thats how i paid the 300 and not the over 400 for it.
It was working fine for about 2 months, but after that it started messing up alot, at first it wouldn't initialise the DVDs sometimes and other times it just lock up on me and id have to unplug it to reset it in order to get it to work again.
After about 3 months it wouldn't record long, when recording for about 20 minutes it would shut off and id loose whatever I was recording.
The DVD player still works in it after about 18 months of ownership but thats all that works anymore, the VCR worked for a while longer than the DVD recorder but a plastic part inside broke after about 7 months of ownership and the VCR hasn't worked since. I called GO Video in arizona and they said it would cost me more than what I paid for it to get it repaired, i was just curiouse to see what it would cost, I had no intention of getting it fixed, I will purchase a new panasonic combo recorder in a few days and will use the go video till the DVD player takes a dump.
