Only GoVideo offers the innovative features and capabilities of a state-of-the-art DVD and VCR integrated into one easy-to-use product. Effortlessly transfer VHS tapes onto higher-quality, easier-to-store DVDs. It's time to get rid of your old VHS movies for good! Whether you want to record, play, or listen, the VR4940 does it all. GoVideo's new VR4940 model, available in a sleek black-colored design, represents the company's first Dual-Deck line combining a DVD recorder and hi-fi VCR all in one, with GoVideo's new EZ Play and MyDVD features. GoVideo's EZ Play feature automatically skips ads, trailers and menus, jumping right to the start of the movie. Simply place the disc in the tray, press the play key, and the movie starts without interruption. GoVideo's MyDVD feature also makes using this DVD player easier than any other both for adults and children. It permanently stores the set-up preferences that on most other DVD players need to be checked or unchecked every time you load a new DVD. Minimize

DVD recorder freezes

Author's Rating: Rating: 1/5 stars

Pros: None

Cons: Doesn't work

Author's Review
The VR4940 DVD recorder freezes in mid recording. I have been trying to record old camcorder tapes on DVD (recording from the external input DV2) but the recorder freezes when trying to save to DVD. The timer/ticker stops counting and the recorded video is lost. The disk is also damaged showing no title but loss of capacity. Many disks are damaged and reported as corrupted before you can get one to start recording, when it freezes in mid recording. The VR4940 is not worth its weight in horse manure.

I Cannot find their Website anywhere to give them my peace of mind. They apparently changed the name of the company to Sensory Science and there is no track of them either.

Do not buy anything associated with GoVideo.
