Pros: Great jazz!
Cons: None
The Bottom Line:
Yep, buy this CD - it is smooth jazz that stands out from the crowd.
I have been told (by my kids) that smooth jazz is boring and that it all sounds the same. When I tune in the local smooth jazz radio station while driving, I am immediately asked to switch to the "Big Ape," a local top 40 station. I can understand this as I have often had the same thought myself.
One artist that doesn't sound like the rest is Kim Waters. His music defines what smooth jazz is all about. What that is I am not sure; however, I know what I like and I like this guy's music. And, his latest CD is especially good.
The first two tracks are good enough for the price of the CD while the rest of the tracks are icing on the CD. "Waterfall", the second track, is the best new smooth jazz song I have heard in a long time and is why I continue to listen to smooth jazz.
So, if you are like me and have trouble finding smooth jazz CDs to buy, then check out this CD.
