Pros: None - junk from the very beginning!
Cons: Pretty much everything on this camera stopped working immediately.
The Bottom Line:
AVOID THIS CAMERA AT ANY COST. Many features quit working within 6 months of owning this, and now it doesn't work at all after only 2 years of infrequent use.
We got this camcorder about 2 years ago, and within the first 5 uses, the LCD screen quit working correctly. Then we started having trouble with the 'dew' light coming on, which disables the camera from working. We thought it was because it is quite humid where we live, but now it appears that moisture has nothing to do with it. There are many people on the internet who have reported the same problem with this camera. Then the viewfinder stopped working, and the LCD is the only way we CAN video (it started working again when the viewfinder quit...) Then the tape door stopped working (when inserting a tape and closing the door, it pops back open and won't accept the tape.) Even if I COULD get the tape in, the dew light comes on and shuts the camera off, so I couldn't videotape anyway. This is a piece of junk and we were offered no assistance at the store where we bought it, and don't want to spend another $200 or more to get it fixed. We don't use the camcorder that often, maybe once a month, and we certainly didn't get our moneys' worth out of this before it quite working entirely. AVOID THIS CAMERA AT ALL COSTS!!!
