The Bottom Line:
Very disappointed - MiniDV tape always gets caught in the mechanism. Cannot recommend this camera at any price.
I cannot recommend this product to anyone. The reason is simple - the MiniDV tapes constantly get caught up in the tape mechanism. I cannot return the camera - it's too late. I thought I was getting a deal when I purchased this camera through Costco's website, but I was so wrong. I wish I had just paid a little more & got a better camera. Live and learn - don't let this happen to you. I have always had good luck with the Sharp brand, but this camera is a lemon. I do not understand how this camera could make it to market without being flagged by Sharp's quality control department. BIG disappointment all around.
