The Bottom Line:
Don't buy this camera. Even at 299 which is a great price it is not worth it. Spend a little more ( I think Canon is a superior product)
I bought this sharp for 299 us. This was a great deal I thought. After all it is digital. My sony 8mm takes better videos and it's 11 years old. The first one i picked up had a spot on the videos that was inside the camcorder. They gave me a new one and that would scramble the picture on playback intermittently. Also you can't move the lcd screen when videotaping without jerking the picture. This is not worth the money even at the low price i paid. The colors are way off and taping inside even on a sunny day gave me bad results, the gamma option did little for the bad color.
The video crawl on especially white objects was extremely bad. Don't buy this camera. I have since picked up a canon zr40 and the picture quality and colors are terrific. This is due to the much better quality lense.
