If you have a family with anywhere from 1-3 kids who are involved in activities such as sports, plays, etc..,and you want to cherish every moment you can, than this is a camera for you. This camera has all of the basic tools plus a couple of extra accesories such as a pause button and an easy to use pull out view slide that lets you see what you are recording while you are recording it. Also, with this camcorder you are not always having to replace your batteries for new ones because the batteries for this camcorder actually last you a long time, instead of only lasting you an hour like all of those other camcorders. Another great thing about this camcorder is that it is light, compact (so that you can carry it with you almost anywhere you go), and also has a hand strap that lets you hold the camera in a very comfortable position while you are recording. Now I think that this particular camcorder may seem a little expensive, but the image that you get out of this is just fantastic, plus, I don't think that you will ever have to buy a new camcorder for a very long time after you buy this one. Overall this is a great camera for a family or just for anyone who wants to record a once in a life time event, or just to record your buddies goofin' around.
