Pros: Easy to use, 4" screen
Cons: Mic picks up wind, housing is easy to scratch
When I came across this camera, it was in the clearance merchandise case at a well know department store. The asking price? $199.00! Sold. I like the 4" viewable screen. This is going to come in handy for someone who may be vision impaired. It's simple to operate, so anyone can use it, and is packed with some good features. The digital zoom is good up to 16X, but gets a little useless to 64X's. The supplied battery provides about 45 minutes of use, so it is useless. I went and bought a two-hour battery for around $60.
It is easy to connect to front A/V jacks on a TV or VCR. It comes with a remote and you can flip the screen around so you can see and record yourself, cool feature. All in all it's a decent camera. I am now looking at the Sharp Viewcam digital camcorders, which appears will be the next big thing!
