This is the first camcorder we have purchased and so far we love it. It is very easy to use! It is almost dummy proof. Everything appears on the screen and all you have to do is push a button. The zoom is right there at your finger tip. It couldn't be any easier.
I have used other camcorders were you had to look through the eye piece to record and just didn't like them. This give you a 4" screen that you just watch. What ever you see is what you are recording. It's a matter of just pointing. It is really that easy.
It has a 64X Digital zoom which is great. I couldn't imagine needing any more. It also has DIS which will make the shakiest hands look perfectly still. It also will rotate 270 degrees which allows you to film yourself while holding the camcorder.
The only thing I dislike about the camcorder is there is no light. The lights has to be decent in the room for the picture to turn out great. It does have some things you can change when the lighting isn't the greatest to get a better picture but it doesn't stay on all the time.
