I ended up buying this camcorder without doing any research on it. We were leaving on a vacation in a week and also I was due with my son in a few weeks and my old camcorder had died. So we went to Sams and I picked this one based mostly on price,it was the cheapest one they had. I am so glad I picked this one because it has turned out to be a wonderful camera.
First of all it has a screen so you don't have to look in a little view finder to see what you are taping. This is great when you have little ones running around,it is easy to keep an eye on them and also see what you are taping. Also with the screen,you can immediately rewind your tape and set your camera on vcr and watch what you just taped. The kids loved this while we were on vacation. And I loved this when I had my son, my husband taped it and I watched it later when I was more relaxed.
It also comes with an adapter to connect to the tv so you can watch your tapes on there. It also comes with a remote but I haven't used it yet,
This camera is really lightweight and has a hand strap that makes it easy to hold in one hand while you are taping.
My sister bought a camera at the same time and she prefers mine.
