Pros: easy to use easy to see
Cons: to many improvements how much zoom do you need need better batteries
When I was 30 years old I assumed i would see my children grow up. That assumption almost turned out to be totally false. I was diagnosed with eye problems which through the years required 5 eye surgeries and may even require more in the future. At 36 with 2 kids I have lost some of my field of vision and must wear glasses which are tinted black as I am sensitive to sun light. I still wanted to see my kids grow up and save the memory of their child hood on tape so they could hear and see the important events of their child hood. I decided to buy a camcorder and here began the ordeal. The first problem for someone with bad eyesight to deal with is you are not on a level playing field. Looking through an eyepiece or a very small LCD screen was virtually impossible.
This led me to the Sharp line of camcorder first a 3 inch 16 power camcorder which Sears replace with a 4 inch 64 digital zoom camcorder. As a side note Sears did not charge me for the upgrade as it occurred with in 30 days of purchase. However I was mad they did not tell me of the upgrade and discovered it by luck. The sharp allows someone with bad eyesight not to mention very limited mechanical ability to record their family with easy and a little style and flair. Very easy to follow instructions. Plus you can down load directly to a your home vcr and transfer to a regular tape. This review pertains to all sharp camcorders with big flat LCD screen.
