Pros: small, lightweight, screen
Cons: battery life is short
I received this camcorder as a birthday present from my parents this year. I have used it so much. After the birth of our baby, I borrowed my parents camcorder. Their camcorder is about 4 years old. I hated looking through that little peephole. So when they asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I let them know.
I love the viewcam. The 3 view screen is so wonderful to have. No more squinting your eyes to see what you are recording. You can turn the screen completely upside down and record yourself, if you want to. Some of the many features are:
3 view screen
400x digital zoom or 16x optical zoom
2 fade modes
Date and time
Titles (ex. Its a Boy)
Digital Image Stabilization
Microphone with volume control for playback
In order to start using this all you have to do is charge the battery and start recording. The camera comes with many other useful features that I have not experimented with yet. The main point I was trying to make is that it is very simple to operate. You dont have to know how to work the advanced features. Just turn it on and push record.
The playback mode is easy to use. You can see and hear what you have just recorded. The on screen display makes it seem just like you are watching a mini TV.
I would recommend this opinion to everyone. It weighs only 1.5 pounds so it is lightweight enough for anyone to use.And after carrying it around all day it will not get on your nerves.
