Excellent sound and picture quality for an unbelievable price when you compare it to the competition.
After having this camera for 6 months, I can say that I am very pleased with this purchase. In comparison to other cameras I had considered, the picture quality of this Hi8 camera is outstanding. You can use regular 8 mm videotape, but I highly recommend that you use the Hi8- very noticeable difference.
I've really enjoyed having the audio speaker built into the camera- great for when you want to review your experiences when a VCR isn't available. this particular camera can film at a much lower lux than several other cameras that Sharp makes (although this doesn't compare to the infrared option Sony offers).
I only wish that this camera came with a carrying case and that the body of this camera were made of metal instead of plastic. I've had no problems s far with this camera and feel like I got high quality for a great price!
