Pros: Very powerful for the size.
Cons: The automatic shutoff for filter clean reminder is a pain.
So far I have had 2. The first died in a month and a half. It was displaying an E1 error. This is an error automatically generated after the AC runs for 750 or so hours to remind you to clean the filter. The manual says to clean filter and unplug unit, plug unit back in and code will be reset. In my case the unit would run 5 minutes and code would return. I exchanged my unit for another and after two months the second did the same thing. When I went to sharp's web site I downloaded the product manual http://www.sharpusa.com/files/air_man_AFS100FX_S120FX_S125FX_R100FX_R120FX.pdf
and ON THE FIRST PAGE were new procedures for resetting the error code. Unplug unit, clean filter, HOLD DOWN power button and CONTINUE HOLDING while plugging unit back in. Unit will beep. Unplug again, plug back in and resume normal operation. I'm just happy it now works. The size Vs. power ratio of this small but powerful unit is fantastic. It is tiny enough to fit into narrow windows but has 12000 BTU rating. This is why I bought it in the first place.
